Our Story

The home of Villino Coffee Roasters.

We’ve long dreamed of being able to showcase both sides of our business, and create a cellar door experience for our roastery. At Wondr., we hope to offer people a glimpse at the behind-the-scenes of a working coffee roastery, and enjoy the finished product in the same space.

Villino started life as ‘Villino Espresso’ in the Hobart CBD in 2007, and by 2009 expanded to a small production roastery in Huntingfield to supply coffee to the café in town. After over a decade of roasting, another café in Hobart (Ecru), and tens of thousands of kilograms of roasted coffee later, we found ourselves in need of a larger production space. Our new home in Moonah came to us as a largely blank slate, and offered the opportunity to create a new café and retail space, alongside a purpose built production, green storage, cupping lab, workshop, and training spaces.

Good coffee is what we do.

We serve all of the classic Espresso-based drinks as well as pourover and other filter brews, showcasing the latest releases from Villino Coffee including Single Origins and limited Blends. We also serve a range of Pigeon Whole Bakers pastries, the perfect companion to a good coffee.
